This is the community hall at Carley, Ontario, about a 20-minute drive west of Orillia. Of course, this used to be a school. For the sharp-of-eyed, that enamel sign betrays Canadian Pacific Railway ancestry. That indeed was the station name sign at this community on the CPR Mactier Subdivision.
The King's Puzzle, second volume in the Angus Wolfe adventures series, is underway; I wrote the first chapter today. Much of it centres around the flagstop station on the CPR named Carley.
Regarding the King, he is the same King George VI featured in the current movie entitled The King's Speech.
So glad to hear that "The Kings Puzzle" is underway. The village of Carley has a whole new meaning for me now. I am extremely interested in how the story plays out. I am also looking forward with anticipation and excitement on how your artist friend paints the scene for the front cover. Hookah
